Botox is an FDA-approved treatment that temporarily relaxes frown lines, crow’s feet (wrinkles around eyes), forehead lines and make them have a softer appearance in adults. Botox can soften wrinkles and prevent aging. It has also been approved for individuals suffering from excessive underarm sweating and Bruxism (grinding of teeth or Temporomandibular Joint dysfunction or TMJ). It offers a softer and chiseled/narrowing of the jawline after relaxing the masseter muscle caused by bruxism.  Botox works by blocking communication between the muscles and neurotransmitters and by injecting these muscles we reduce or prevent contraction of that muscle.
